10 Niggling Worries Over Marvel's Next 10 Movies

5. Will The Massive Budget Harm The Final Product? - Deadpool 2

The original Deadpool was something of a surprise success. Nobody could have predicted that the R-rated comic book flick would pull in such huge amounts of money at the box office, simultaneously proving that violent, profane, and outright weird comic book movies were marketable and right for the zeitgeist.

Deadpool 2, then, a movie quickly green-lit off the back of the original's success, is set to hit theatres next year... and whilst there's every chance it will turn out to be as wildly unique and crazy as the first film, behind-the-scenes things haven't exactly been smooth. Tim Miller, the guy who helmed the original, left the production citing "creative differences," and was later replaced by Tim Leitch.

"Creative differences" usually hints at a flawed and ultimately compromised film come release day, of course - in this case, Miller jumped ship because he felt the sequel was too big, too stylised, and too expensive.

Fingers crossed Deadpool 2 finds its way through the production quagmire, then... and hey, maybe the finished product will even make a joke about the unnecessarily huge budget?
