Not every secret in the movies has to be an Easter Egg. Some relate to the inventive way film-makers cover for logistical problems on set - like the lead actor coming back for reshoots with a moustache (rather infamously) or someone not being available for all of their scheduled shooting days. That last one happens a fair bit, with stand-ins working on movies as big as Avengers: Infinity War pretty notably (for Benedict Cumberbatch).

That luxury clearly wasn't available to Steven Spielberg when he was making Raiders Of The Lost Ark, as when Ronald Lacey was unavailable to shoot a scene at the end of the truck chase sequence. And yet, nobody noticed for years that all he did to replace the actor was pile the characters hat and coat together in the front seat and hope no-one realised.

Remarkably, it worked until very recently.
