10 Post-Infinity War MCU Phase 4 Predictions
1. The MCU Gets Its First Critical Dud
Fear not, we're not predicting a Howard the Duck movie.
However, given the MCU's insane critical winning streak of 19 movies to date - though The Incredible Hulk and Thor: The Dark World only just made the cut - many fans are wondering just when the streak's going to be broken.
With the likelihood that Phase 4 will feature anywhere from 10-12 movies, the chances will be higher than ever for one of the MCU's movies to drop below 60% on Rotten Tomatoes.
While it's difficult to say exactly which movie it could be - probably a solo movie that doesn't quite work - it's hard to imagine the franchise sustaining this level of freshness and momentum for another dozen movies, no matter how much audiences may continue to see them.
At the same time, who ever expected the MCU would get 20 movies deep without a critical miss either? Still, if even just one of Phase 4's movies isn't beset by mixed reviews (in the 50-55% region most likely), it'd be ludicrously impressive.
