8. Hank Pym - Ant-Man & The Wasp

We know that Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) is going to be reunited with her long-lost mother Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) in Ant-Man's sequel, and while it'll no doubt give Hope, Janet and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) plenty of second-act time to play happy families, that happiness is almost certain to be short-lived.

What'd be more dramatically ironic than Hope getting her mother back only to lose her father, with Hank perhaps sacrificing himself to save Scott (Paul Rudd) at a pivotal moment?

It'd be both extremely tragic and deliciously ironic, as it'd give Hope reason to be mad at Scott and further complicate their relationship in future movies.
