10. Venom 3 Adds Spider-Man To The Mix

The Venom sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, is set to be released next June (after being pushed back from this October), and while the first instalment may have been mostly terrible, there's a lot of excitement surrounding the follow-up. It helps that Andy Serkis is directing the action this time, though the addition of Woody Harrelson's Carnage is perhaps most noteworthy.

Given the box office haul of 2018's Venom, a third instalment is surely inevitable, and that's the film you can probably expect to see Tom Holland's Spider-Man factor into. Fans want that to happen, Tom Hardy and Tom Holland want it to happen, and studio execs are smart enough to realise such a crossover would equal big box office returns.

The prospect of a three-way battle between Spider-Man, Venom, and Carnage is undeniably intriguing (even without Marvel Studios' creative involvement), and Sony has a guaranteed event movie on their hands here. It's bound to happen, but here's hoping it's not something they drop the ball on because no one is crying out for another Amazing Spider-Man 2-style disaster.
