7. Prequel EU Is Better Than The Prequels

The previous two entries probably make this entry go without saying, but we wanted to make it utterly clear before going forward that the prequels had a lot of potential that its own extended universe had to pick up the slack for seeing as how the movies kinda flopped at it.

There are multiple reasons for this, some of which we'll get into in later entries, but suffice it to say that the years between the end of the prequel trilogy and the requisition of Lucasarts by Disney can best be described as "prequel damage control".

There are multiple books, shows, and video games based around the prequels universe, and all of them do it better than the movies they're branching off from ever did.

From the aforementioned expanding of Jedi characters and lore, to introducing new characters that could carry their own movies all by themselves (where is my Hondo Ohnaka show you cowards?!), the prequel EU made the prequel universe actually worth exploring and something that you want to return to in the future.
