Hollywood is both beloved and criticized for its excessive nature, and almost every Hollywood star can be seen "living it up" to some degree - be it with their purchase of multiple houses, yachts, jets, expensive cars and, uh, adopted African kids. And as stated previously, the "perfect "Hollywood star isn't something achieved by way of purely positive connotation. Hollywood stars are often portrayed as spoilt, pampered and greedy. And when it comes to "living it up," Nicolas Cage has set one hell of an example. In fact, he's renowned for having spent too much money, and has been trying to claw back his spendings for the past few years. Yes, despite being one of Hollywood's highest paid actors (he earned $40 million in 2009 alone), Cage managed to get in trouble with the IRS, who claimed he owed them $6.1 million in unpaid taxes. Whoops. That's what happens when you keep buying castles, I suppose (one in Germany and one in England). Basically, Nicolas Cage buys everything that it's possible to buy, and has (or had, rather), like, a zillion houses all over the world. Is there anybody else better suited to be the poster boy for Hollywood excess?
