4. The Prince Of Egypt

The Prince of Egypt is one of the most underrated animated films of all time. Ever. It tells the story of Moses and Ramses, two adopted brothers with very different paths in life -- one becomes the great pharaoh of Egypt, the other fated to free the Jewish people from enslavement. The Prince of Egypt brings emotion and energy to the famous story, and plays up the relationship between the two brothers which becomes incredibly tense after Moses discovers his identity as a Hebrew. Emphasizing the human elements of any story will always make it more engaging, but particularly in Biblical stories, when these are often underplayed. Combined with fantastic songs by the always wonderful Stephen Schwartz, and incredibly nuanced performances from Val Kilmer and Ralph Fiennes in the leading roles,The Prince of Egypt deserves far more credit than it is awarded.
