Taken 2 was a horrible film, but that doesn't mean that the misguided few who actually liked it shouldn't be able to enjoy it in its full, unfettered glory, which the BBFC denied by releasing the film as a cut-down 12A, at the behest of a studio who wanted to maximise their profits, despite the previous film being a 15. This sequel, terrible though it is, is made worse by some of the most horrendous editing known to man, entirely unaided by the fact that much of it is chopped awkwardly just to emit some of the violence. Take the climax of the film, where Liam Neeson grabs an enemy by the throat to strangle him, but the way it is edited suggests that he simply touches the man's face and he dies; it's awful, and completely betrays the content of the film. How are action fans able to savour all that violence if studios conspire with the BBFC to cut all the good stuff out? Release it as a 15 or don't bloody bother.
