Though the actual plot for X-Men: Apocalypse is yet to be laid out in all its glory, we do have a few clues as to where the general themes will lie. When talking about his future plans for the project all the way back in January of 2014, then, director Bryan Singer opened up and told us that he was planning to delve deep within the origins of the mutant species:
It will address historical mutant-cy, meaning the deep past, mutant origins and things like that. Its something thats always intrigued me when we think about our Gods and our history and miracles and powers.
