10 Things That Never Happen in Virus Movies (But Should)

8. Antivirus being to stop computer viruses

In recent times filmmakers have realised that people don€™t understand the internet. And they know that people can be scared of things they don€™t understand. This led to a whole new sub-genre of digital virus movies, which paid loose homage to 80s classics like Poltergeist (setback when TV was the cutting edge tech in people€™s homes). Mid-2000s films like Pulse envisioned a world under attack from ghosts using the internet and other electronic devices to spread and kill. Naturally, the only response from characters in these situations is to panic. Or die. No one thinks to fight the virus by installing some antivirus software. Admittedly, demonic ghouls aren€™t part of most antivirus packages, but you€™d think someone would at least give it a go.
