10 Things To Expect From Star Wars Celebration Orlando

10. A Remastered Theatrical Cut Of The Original Trilogy

Star Wars fans can be a difficult bunch of people to impress, but if there’s one thing they all seem to want, it’s a remastered, HD version of the Original Star Wars movies.

After George Lucas’s numerous Special Edition rereleases ruined about as much as they improved, fans are eager for a more faithful and mostly unaltered version of the saga, albeit one that’s been touched up to match modern visual fidelity. Some people have yet to see the original trilogy without unnecessary CGI Jabbas and Darth Vader re-dubs.

With Celebration Orlando coinciding with the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope, it makes sense that we’ll be seeing an updated version of the theatrical release unveiled at the event.

The rest of the saga might be given the same treatment, too; although the Prequels are still in pretty good nick, and can hardly have their CGI elements removed, it’d be nice to see a Blu-Ray collection of every film in the series, unmolested by George Lucas’s perfectionist tendencies.
