4. Rush Hour 4

Rush Hour 4 has been talked about on and off for the better part of 20 years - ever since the third film came out in 2007.

Every few years, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker pop up to espouse their enthusiasm for the project, but in 2025 it was finally officially confirmed to be happening.

Because Brett Ratner returning to direct despite having several sexual misconduct allegations against him isn't bad enough, the sequel also reportedly came to fruition at the behest of President Donald Trump.

Pre-production seemed to be moving along until this past April, when it was reported that the producers had reached a deadlock with Chan and Tucker, who were offered "just" $8 million each to star, far down from the $20 million they each bagged for Rush Hour 3.

Shooting has been pushed back while the duo's deals are ironed out, but between this and the involvement of both Ratner and Trump, maybe the world is just fine with the Rush Hour trilogy.
