10 Ways Superhero Movies & TV Shows Will Be Affected By Current World Events

2. 2021 Releases Might Not Be Safe Either

As we've alluded to with movies like The Batman and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, not even 2021 releases are same from current world events. Right now, everything other than F9 and No Time to Die have been postponed to unrevealed dates, and there's absolutely nothing to suggest that they'll arrive in cinemas this year.

September to December is already relatively crowded, so there's not going to be room for the likes of Mulan, Black Widow, and A Quiet Place: Part 2. Each day brings more delays, and films scheduled for 2020 will push their way into 2020, 2021 releases will start slipping down the calendar, and then there are the movies supposed to be coming next year which now won't be done in time.

Both Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man 3 are good examples of films due to start shooting this summer ahead of 2021 releases, but if those start dates aren't met, then the planned release dates won't be met.

Simply put, the fallout from this could be massive, and won't be contained to only 2020.
