11. Byrus (AKA "S***weasel) - Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher was the sprawling, messy novel Stephen King wrote while recovering from his van accident. It’s not his best work, but it has likeable characters and some memorable scenes. It also has a lot of silliness though, so isn't an obvious candidate for a big budget blockbuster. That didn't stop Warner Bros from trying though.

The result was kind of disastrous and featured a talented cast - including Morgan Freeman and Timothy Olyphant – spouting inane dialogue and fighting wobbly CGI aliens. One of the more unique creatures is called a Byrus, which is an eel-like slug that gestates inside a human stomach before slipping out; it’s cute nickname is a “s***weasel.”

Seeing an alien literally made of crap slithering towards you should be fairly worrying, and making them look appropriately gross was one of the few things the movie got right.
