11 Movie Franchises We Wish Weren’t Dead

2. Harry Potter

As Stephen King famously said, “Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity.” These qualities, together with its gloriously imaginative premise, are what elevates the literary creation to extraordinary heights and make the series so desperately missed.

Since we witnessed the demise of he-who-should-not-be-named (Voldemort for those not with me), the Harry Potter community has been constantly crying out for something that can fill that void. That “something” came in the way of a prequel film series and The Cursed Child stageplay – but for die-hard Potter fans, is that really enough?

Although we’re yet to learn of what Fantastic Beasts has to offer, nothing can quite compare to the ‘Harry Potter Ands’ canon. And the idea of never again seeing Daniel Radcliffe with his wand in-hand is, quite frankly, Riddikulus.

Could There Be A Comeback?

Many times has J.K. Rowling shut down rumours of there being any more instalments, but the truth is, and has to be, so long as Rowling still has air in her lungs and ink in her pen, the Harry Potter films (as we currently know them) could always return.

For now, Potter-maniacs pray that Fantastic Beasts can live up to the hype.
