The Lie

Old Obi-Wan once again with the exaggeration of the truth at best and a flat-out lie at worst, referring to Mos Eisley in particularly hyperbolic terms:

"Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."

The Truth

Is it really?

You have to think there are worse places in the galaxy. Like Jabba's palace, for instance? Or the lawless Outer Rim worlds? It seems a fairly big exaggeration to say that a place where aliens - albeit naughty ones - sit around civilly drinking together and listening to Filgrin D'An and The Modal Nodes is a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Sure some of the aliens look bad, but they aren't Sith. They just look a bit different and probably don't share the morals of the Jedi. Maybe Obi-Wan was just a big racist?
