12 Great Moments In Mediocre Comic Book Movies
3. Loki And Frigga's Last Conversation In Thor: The Dark World
Through its 23 chapters and ten plus years, you can count the poor movies
Marvel Studios has put out on one hand. When discussing the worst the
franchise has to offer, the conversation always drifts to The Incredible
Hulk, Iron Man 3, and of course, Thor: The Dark World.
Particularly looking back at Thor's second movie now, after the success of Ragnarok, it's difficult to watch. It's just so boring. It's hard to get invested in the movie when the majority of the actors don't look they even want to be there themselves!
There is however, one shining light in The Dark World. Loki. Tom Hiddleston has been the darling of the Marvel Cinematic Universe for some years now, and he even managed to give a simply excellent performance among the mediocre in his third appearance as the character. Literally every scene with Loki is a joy to watch, and any of them could have been chosen for this list, but the strongest is possibly his conversation with Frigga.
The raw emotion that the two exchange is devastating, as Loki finally loses patience with the one person in his life who hadn't completely given up on him. Both Tom Hiddleston and Rene Russo make this scene extremely emotional, made all the more powerful by seeing what Loki is reduced to after Frigga's death.
