The Movie: When aliens misinterpret classic video game feeds as a declaration of war, the aliens attack Earth using various video game-esque means. President William Cooper (Kevin James) calls upon former video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler) and his buddies (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to help stop the alien threat. Why The Fanboys Will Hate It: Because no trailer has been released yet, there's a haunting feeling that it's going to horribly misrepresent video games as a whole. Any little detail that's incorrect will catch a ton of flak from gamers the world over, and considering it reportedly features characters and models from classics such as Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Frogger, and Donkey Kong, it could very well be seen as sacrilegious. Will It Succeed Anyway?: Adam Sandler can make box office moolah out of pretty much anything, so it'll probably be successful, though don't expect much in the way of good reviews.
