If you haven't seen the trailer for this Gerard Butler submarine thriller, you really owe it to yourself to check it out.

It looks like gloriously dumb, forgettable schlock that hasn't got a fascinating enough hook to lure audiences in - compared to say, The Meg - and making matters worse, its R rating will place an even lower ceiling on its box office potential.

YouTube views are low and Butler's hardly a consistent draw with audiences, and though it doesn't have any direct genre competition releasing around the same time, viewers are far more likely to spend their R-rated bucks on Halloween the week prior.
