Shooting on Independence Day writer Dean Devlin's feature directorial debut began some three years to the day before its October 20, 2017 release date, with the movie having been delayed multiple times since.

It's clear as day that Warner Bros. don't care much about it, and when you combine a cheesy B-movie title with a daft premise (Gerard Butler vs. climate-controlling satellites gone haywire), Butler's wildly inconsistent box office performance and a first-time director tackling a big-budget concept, there's simply a ton of red flags here.
