Yikes, where to begin? Monster Trucks is a $125 million comedy action film without any major star power that finished shooting around 2.5 years before its release date, having suffered multiple delays by Paramount.

The Hollywood Reporter recently noted that Paramount are expecting to lose $115 million on the movie, which was originally built as a Transformers-esque blockbuster but mutated during production into a more child-friendly family film.

Plus, there's the fact it's being dropped in cinemas during the infamous "dump month" of January, and even without any direct competition for weeks following its release, the marketing so far does little to spark audience interest.

Estimated Box Office: $173 million (approx $125 million budget).
