13 Upcoming Movies That Could Score 0% On Rotten Tomatoes

11. Left Behind

The Pitch: A reboot of the Kirk Cameron-starring Left Behind movie series, based on the Christian apocalyptic novels written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. When millions of people suddenly vanish without a trace, pilot Rayford Steele (Nicolas Cage) must try to land his damaged plane amid the worldwide chaos. Why It Could Score 0%: For starters, it's directed by Vic Armstrong, whose only previous feature, 1993's Army of One (starring Dolph Lundgren), holds an illustrious 0%. Then there's the fact that the previous trilogy of movies based on these books scored 16%, 0% and 0% respectively. Then there's the footage released online of the movie so far: the effects look laughably bad (the budget was a mere $16 million), and one can't shake the feeling that Cage's screen-time will likely be less than what the trailers are suggesting (hence the low budget). Religious-themed movies tend to do well at the box office, and with Cage on the poster it'll likely do good business, though will almost certainly be pilloried by critics as well.
