4. Bryan Singer - Star Trek Nemesis

X-Men director Bryan Singer managed to use his friendship with Professor Xavier himself, Patrick Stewart, to land a cameo on 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis, appearing for a few seconds as Kelly, a member of the USS Enterprise who takes over Worf's (Michael Dorn) position on the bridge when all hell breaks loose.

This cameo's sly enough that it doesn't distract from the movie, and at the time of the film's release, nobody really knew what Singer looked like anyway.

Smart of him to get a cameo like this out of the way before his mug became too recognisable...as happened with his rather jarring appearance as a cameraman (with his face in close-up) in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
