5. Bruce Campbell - Fargo

This one's a bit of a cheat, but it makes the cut because of "extenuating circumstances". In the Coen Brothers' hilarious crime farce, Bruce Campbell appears on a TV screen that criminal Gaear Grimsrud (Peter Stormare) is watching.

Now, even those who are aware of the grainy cameo mostly believe that the Coens shot this scene for the movie, but in fact, this is a clip from the late-80s soap opera Generations which Campbell appeared in, so it's a cameo only in the sense of "archive footage".

However, things took a more interesting turn in the recent Fargo TV show spin-off, where Campbell cameos as then-presidential candidate Ronald Reagan and totally knocks it out of the park. You might've noticed that one a little easier than the grainy TV cameo, though.
