As androids David and Walter (Michael Fassbender) get acquainted with one another, David teaches Walter how to play the flute, placing it in his mouth as he tells him, "I'll do the fingering."
There are a number of common reactions to this: immature laughter, mile-a-minute eye-rolling, cringing your face into a fist, or some demented combination of the lot.

Fassbender, to his credit, knocks the scene out of the park, but who honestly thought that such an absurd line belonged in an otherwise totally straight-laced sci-fi horror movie?
