13. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Though the first teaser trailer for the Phil Lord-written (The Lego Movie) animated Spider-Man movie didn't make huge waves when it was released online in December, it is nevertheless one of the most startling, unexpected and thoroughly exciting trailers released last year.

What really sets this film apart from both other Spider-Man movies and other animations in general is the incredible visual style, opting for a more surreal brand of animation.

Furthermore, the film will revolve around the Miles Morales incarnation of Spider-Man rather than Peter Parker (though Parker will appear in the film), which again should result in a more progressive and unique Spider-Man outing than usual.
