Eric Sykes played Frank Bryce, the Riddle family gardener murdered by Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. A muggle who served in World War II, he happened upon Voldemort as he began his return to power. Sykes started his entertainment career as a radio writer, but soon moved to television, appearing in smaller fare then as the star of his own show, Sykes. Later, he would provide voice work for over 200 episodes of the Teletubbies. In 1992 the British Comedy Awards presented him with a Lifetime Achievement award. He passed away on July 4th, 2012 at the age of 89.
