15 Horror Movies You Can't Miss In 2017

9. Get Out

MADtv alumnus Jordan Peele has turned his hand to feature films with this socially-charged chiller. Given his penchant for pushing the boundaries, he's written and directed something like a twisted version of Meet The Parents meets Kill List; we have a white girl taking her black boyfriend to meet her WASPish parents at their sprawling estate, only for him to get more than smalltown paranoia when he finds his future in-laws are harbouring some nasty secrets.

The trailer shows plenty of sweaty, what-the-heck-is-going-on action and fans of Peele's small screen antics will be pleased to see he's drenched his horror calling card with plenty of racial satire. Being released by Blumhouse Productions, the indie studio that brought us The Visit and The Gift, expect this to be as offbeat as it is scary.
