5. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Since entering the MCU in 2016, Doctor Strange has solidified his status as one of the most important, and most powerful characters in the entire franchise. After a huge role in Infinity War, and bringing everyone back together for Endgame, excitement around the Sorcerer Supreme's next appearance was through the roof.

This doubled after the announcement of the character's second stand alone movie at Comic Con. Not only will Cumberbatch return and be paired with Elizabeth Olsen, the movie will tie directly into WandaVision on Disney+, and it will explore the multiverse that we were robbed of in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

With the powers Strange has, and the subject of the movie, the Marvel Cinematic Universe could be completely different by the time the credits roll. We could see the beginning of the House of M storyline, the new big bad of the franchise in Nightmare, and even the introduction of the X-Men and/or Fantastic Four.

There are dozens of huge rumours floating round the internet regarding the movie, but rarely do we enter an MCU outing with as many genuine possibilities, and as little idea as to what will actually happen, as we will on 5th November 2021. All this without even mentioning the fact that Sam Raimi could be directing!
