20 Doctor Who Actors Who Have Been In Star Wars (& 2 Who Will Be)

By Mike Morgan /

14. Alan Ruscoe

Ruscoe wins the gold medal for the most appearances in both franchises. To Doctor Who fans, he's recognised for being Andy Stone, the space gardener taken over by the Flood in The Waters of Mars, but he was a stalwart of the programme's revival right from the beginning, playing Slitheen, Autons, a humanoid tree and the Anne Droid in Series 1. Ruscoe even crossed over to the Doctor Who spin off series, The Sarah Jane Adventures, to portray a clown in the appropriately titled The Day of the Clown. For the Star Wars prequels, Ruscoe turned in an equally large number of performances. In The Phantom Menace, he was the Neimoidian Daultay Dofine, Jabba the Hutt€™s right-hand man Bib Fortuna, and Jedi master Plo Koon. For Attack of the Clones, he was a different Trade Federation baddie, Rune Haako. You can never quite tell who's lurking under those Trade Federation prosthetics, it seems.
