Julian Glover has a long list of credits spanning several decades so it's perhaps not all that surprising that he's chalked up roles in both Star Wars and Doctor Who as well as appearances in an Indiana Jones film, the Hammer Films adaptation of Quatermass and the Pit and the Game of Thrones TV series. Whether he's playing a James Bond villain or an Imperial officer, he always brings an air of authority to any role. Glover was unforgettable as the Imperial General, Maximilian Veers, in The Empire Strikes Back, leading the AT-AT attack on the rebel base on the ice planet Hoth. He also provided two tremendous performances in Doctor Who, first as Richard the Lionheart in the 1965 story The Crusade, and then as the evil Scaroth in 1979's City of Death. Whilst playing Scaroth, of course, he only looked like a human because he was wearing a Julian Glover-like mask. Once he ripped it off, viewers could see the true features of the green alien beneath!
