20 Greatest Moments In Wizarding World Movies

2. Snape's Memories - Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2

The Prince's Tale, which is Chapter 33 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and reveals Snape's true allegiances and motivations, is potentially the best chapter of the Harry Potter books. Did the film do it justice? Oh yes. The greatest plot twist of the books is now one of the best film plot twists of all time too.

Severus Snape, the morally complex tragic hero whose true allegiance was never quite clear throughout the series, has a backstory that is both painfully sad yet somehow incredibly uplifting at the same time. A double-agent against Voldemort who is driven by honouring the memory of Lily Potter, who he loved unconditionally (although she didn't love him back), Snape's story is a wonderfully poignant redemptive arc.

The film brought out this masterful bit of writing from the books in all its glory. Thanks to Alan Rickman's note-perfect performance and the exceptional writing and editing within the flashbacks, this entire scene hits with the force of a sledgehammer and will leave viewers everywhere sobbing. This sequence is arguably one of the finest movie moments of the 2010s.

It's very hard not to put this at number one, but there is something even better...
