11. Quentin Tarantino's Manson Murders Movie

Quentin Tarantino's ninth movie (counting both Kill Bill films as one) is his first to be based on true events, using the Manson Family's murder of model-actress Sharon Tate as a backdrop to tell a sprawling dramatic thriller.

Concrete details are thin on the ground, but Margot Robbie is reportedly being sought to play Tate, while Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence and Tom Cruise are being considered for other parts, and Ennio Morricone has been asked to compose the musical score.

This material sounds like an absolutely magnificent fit for the director, and considering how ridiculously consistent his output is, it's pretty much impossible for fans not to be excited.
