Release Date: July 29, 2016 There was a feeling that Jason Bourne might never happen; that the franchise, which consisted of three increasingly awesome blockbuster masterclasses (and a spin-off that everybody would go on to forget) was over. Matt Damon said that he was done with the character on a number of occasions, after all, and many years passed with no word. And now, somehow, Jason Bourne - a sequel which has chosen to drop the whole "The Bourne " title trend, as if to announce itself as the definitive entry in the saga - is due out in 2016. Which, you'll agree, is exciting news. Especially since director Paul Greengrass, action expert that he is, is back behind the camera, and there's not a inch of Jeremy Renner in sight. Also: Alicia Vikander, Hollywood's It Girl, joins the ensemble. From the brief footage glimpsed to date, Jason Bourne promises to be much of the same, but that's not necessarily a bad thing: Greengrass knows what he's doing, so expect this movie to contain some of the greatest action sequences ever committed to the screen.
