The appearance of love bird carrying socialite Melanie Daniels in Bodega Bay pisses off the bird community. They launch a series of violent attacks upon the locals. The scariest moment comes when Melanie is sitting on a bench obliviously smoking a cigarette as a great big murder of crows congregates around her. Hitchcock really builds up the tension til it's knicker wettingly charged. And the poor wee school bairns have to flee the birds' attack which makes for further scares for the viewer.
