3. James Bond Dies - No Time To Die
Even though there were pre-release rumours that Daniel Craig's 007 might die at the end of No Time to Die, it was still tough to believe that Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli would ever pull the trigger.
Well, they finally did it.
No Time to Die ends with villain Safin (Rami Malek) infecting Bond with a nanobot strain that will prevent him from ever touching Madeleine (Lea Seydoux) or his daughter Mathilde (Lisa-Dorah Sonnet) ever again.
After killing Safin, Bond appreciates the irreversible gravity of his situation and decides his future isn't much of a life, so accepts his fate to be incinerated along with the nanobot factory in the incoming missile blast.
It's a fantastically moving ending for Craig's 007, and pretty much objectively the most shocking ending to any Bond film to date.
It didn't go over well with all fans, and we can all agree that nobody would've blamed them for playing it safe and having him ride off into the sunset.
Needless to say, they will never be able to pull this off again and achieve the same level of emotional impact.
