13. Inside Out 2

Disney Pixar has been in a similar situation to Disney Animation in recent years, in that the biggest draws are sequels. Nobody asked for Toy Story 5 or even an Incredibles 3, but it's easy to see why the studio is putting so much into familiar properties when they've developed a habit of losing money on original stories.

On the other end of the spectrum to the unnecessary follow-ups on the schedule, a third Inside Out entry could actually have a real story to tell. Yes, it would likely make a ton of money, but it would be so much more than a cash grab for Pixar.

Inside Out and Inside Out 2 respectively focused on the emotions of Riley as she moved from childhood into adolescence. Following that rule, it would make sense for Inside Out 3 to explore adult emotions in a genuinely meaningful and enlightening way,

A threequel is all but inevitable at this point, given the unbelievable financial return of the previous two instalments. That's certainly the view of co-writer David Holstein, who believes the franchise could go even further than a trilogy.
