12. Jean's Death Breaks The Timeline - Dark Phoenix
Going into everything that's wrong with Dark Phoenix would be a waste of everyone's time and the apologies from Fox's team suggest they know exactly what they did.

Most fatally, the film disrespected the ending of Days Of Future Past, which is just unforgivable, frankly. In that film's final moments, we see all of the modern day X-Men happily teaching at Xavier's school, decidedly not dead. The whole gang is there - Beast, Cyclops, Storm and Jean... all not dead.
It was a great ending, which is why it's so annoying that Dark Phoenix's end, which kills off Jean as a means to save the world, completely contradicts the happy future previously established. What gives?
