20 TERRIFYING Scenes In TERRIBLE Horror Movies
20. The Spider Mannequin - Silent Hill: Revelation
Silent Hill: Revelation is an absolutely rancid follow-up to the original 2006 Silent Hill movie, which remains one of Hollywood's more stylish and spirited video game adaptations, flaws and all.
Revelation's story is incomprehensible hogwash even for Silent Hill's standards, the characters are thinly written, and it's filled to the brim with thoroughly naff, poorly-aged 3D gimmickry for bad measure.
But it does briefly touch upon greatness when protagonist Heather (Adelaide Clemens) finds herself stuck in a warehouse full of mannequins.
As creepy as mannequins inherently are, it might sound a bit hackneyed and overdone, but director M. J. Bassett goes hard here by revealing the presence of a spider-like mannequin monster which promptly starts chasing Heather and her new pal Suki (Heather Marks).
Sure, the CGI hasn't aged spectacularly well, but there's something innately revolting about the creature that gets the lizard brain going, especially once it reveals its disgusting mouth filled with dozens of sharp teeth.
