13. Is Scorpion Spidey's Next Villain? - Spider-Man: Homecoming
The Question: With Homecoming's mid-credits scene showing Mac Gargan aka Scorpion (Michael Mando) asking Vulture (Michael Keaton) about the web-slinger's true identity, will he be the main villain for Spidey's next outing?
The Likely Answer: Possibly, but Scorpion's appearance and his talk of "friends on the outside" also seems to suggest he'll return as part of the Sinister Six.
Whether Marvel Studios will take the slow-burn approach by gradually building the Six up or have Spidey battle them in his next solo movie remains to be seen. As such, Gargan could sit out the next film while the team gains members, but equally, the trigger could be pulled ASAP.
With Homecoming 2 set to start shooting in a few months, expect confirmation shortly if it is indeed happening.
