Release Date: December 18 Why It Could Beat Fury Road: After Mad Max hugely exceeded everyone's expectations, there was much thought that the new Star Wars movie was one of the few films that could live up to that level of fantastical carnage. J.J. Abrams have proven his skill with action sequences time and time again, and from what little that's been shown off so far, The Force Awakens looks like an absolute home run in terms of style, technical precision and sheer bombast. How Likely Is It?: 9/10. There's so much working in this film's favour: the insane cast, the clearly gorgeous technical work, and the immense nostalgia which Abrams and co. will surely be milking throughout this new trilogy. If anything pushes Episode VII over the top, it will be that feeling of wonder and being a child again, which, for all its brilliance, Mad Max just isn't interested in.
