11. Happy Death Day to Us

Last year, Happy Death Day filmmaker Christopher Landon finally confirmed that the long-gestating third entry into the slasher-comedy franchise had indeed been given the greenlight.

And while one might assume that the threequel will only further lean into the wacky sci-fi shenanigans of predecessor Happy Death Day 2U, star Jessica Rothe has suggested that audiences should expect something a little more left-field.

While speaking recently about development of the sequel, tentatively titled Happy Death Day to Us, Rothe coyly called it "different than the other two films," implying that it might break somewhat with the established formula - though presumably still trapping Rothe's protagonist Tree in a deathly time loop.

Landon and Rothe are busy prepping the film at the moment before taking it to Blumhouse to secure funding, but anyone expecting the threequel to be yet another iteration on the same idea should seemingly strap in for a more ambitious left-turn.
