This poster for Gerard Butler's submarine thriller Hunter Killer is a unique brand of awful because it just might've started a new trend: taking one type of poster and folding it into the design of another.

Clearly, someone just cobbled together a poster with Butler and Gary Oldman's faces and slapped it on top of a stock image of a sub fleet, and that's your lot.

It's also incredibly odd seeing the movie's credits listed above the lower-third of the poster, again suggesting that whoever designed this really had no idea what the hell they were doing. Gross.
