Billed As: The Social Network, only with burgers and fries.
Hype: After relaunching himself with some excellent career decisions recently - none more so than Birdman and Spotlight - Michael Keaton returns with another interesting sounding true story.
He'll play Ray Kroc - the Mark Zuckerberg of the fast food industry - who aligned himself with the McDonald brothers in Illinois and subtly positioned himself to take over their company. They're sort of like the Winklevosses of the piece, only without the rowing.
It sounds a hell of a story, particularly as it's being written by The Wrestler's Robert Siegel, and the cast is sublime (anything with Nick Offerman in gets extra points immediately). What it'll do for McDonalds' sales is anyone's guess, but it's not like The Social Network hurt Facebook, is it?
