25 Most Mind-Bending Moments In Sci-Fi Movie History

12. Bullet Time - The Matrix (1999)

It€™s difficult to think of another moment in sci-fi history that has been parodied as much as bullet time in The Matrix. It€™s easy to argue that €œbullet time€ as it came to be known, and other aspects of the film, made a cultural impact felt through the late ninties/early naughties, or some might just remember how silly it looked when parodied. But there was a clear reason it was parodied so much. It was very captivating, visually impressive and just plain cool. I€™m of course referring to Neo€™s (Keanu Reeves) newfound ability to dodge bullets with bending the time and space in The Matrix. It was a very fresh idea that bent our minds in a very entertaining way. While most of these moments on the list give us the willies (which is still a welcomed form of entertainment) this moment bent our minds in a very fun way and left us wanting more. More enough to warrant two sequels is best left to another article.
