In an interesting development, it feels a little like the entire plot resolution is borrowed from a Wonder Woman song.

In the end, before she is able to defeat Ares, Wonder Woman has her epiphany, coming to the realisation that it is love that will conquer all and will vanquish Ares and end the war.

It's like a parallel of the Wonder Woman 1975 theme song which features the line "Make a hawk a dove, stop a war with love, make a liar tell the truth." That's almost the whole plot in three clauses.
