As wildly over-the-top as most of the acting is in this movie, there's one actor who completely takes the cake: Joe Grifasi, who played the bank guard near the start of the movie, and ends up bound inside a bank vault to act as bait in order to trap Batman. Almost every reaction Grifasi has during the scene is totally off-note, especially once Two-Face pumps acid into the vault and he hams it up to 11, shouting, "Oh no! It's boiling acid!" Sure, the guy thinks he's about to die, but Jesus Christ, does he have to be annoying to the point that the viewer almost hopes he'll get dissolved? Horrible.
