In order to secure their escape from the vault, Bats snatches the bank guard's hearing aid so that he can hear the internal machinery of the vault and figure out the combination for opening it. At least this one benefits from being almost hilariously inventive, as though something that wouldn't be out of place in the Adam West Batman, but it's still totally weird. Plus, how many vaults actually allow you to open them from the inside?
