4. Alfred Conveniently Has The Same Condition As Mr. Freeze's Wife
One of the movie's big plot threads is that Alfred's health is failing, and it's revealed that he's suffering from Macgregor's Syndrome, the very same condition that Mr. Freeze's wife was ailed by. However, Alfred's case is far less severe, and so Freeze has in fact already developed a cure for that stage of the disease. Well, isn't that awfully convenient? It's all pointless anyway as the movie doesn't do much with the Mr. Freeze link beyond redeem him slightly as he agrees to cure Alfred at the end of the movie. It's a depressing subplot to see Alfred so unwell for most of the film, and could've been cut entirely without negatively impacting things at all. That said, if we had to say, "I'll cancel the pizzas", we'd probably be feeling pretty crappy too.
